After months of closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Baguio City is slowly welcoming tourists.
The City of Pines and Summer Capital of the Philippines, Baguio City is ready to welcome tourists from Region 1 starting September 22, Tuesday.
Registration to the Baguio Visita website (visita.baguio.gov.ph) will also start on September 22. Tour arrangements and pre-booking with tour/travel agents may already start and travel dates must be on October 01, 2020, onwards.
Tourists allowed to visit Baguio in the meantime are from the provinces of Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, and Pangasinan, only 200 tourists per day, no underlying conditions, and no COVID-19 symptoms and exposure, and women who are not pregnant, and complied with all pre-registration requirements.
With its cool mountain climate, it makes a favorite destination by local and foreign tourists alike.
Baguio City is a jumping-off point to other tourist attractions like Sagada, Banaue, La Trinidad, and Mount Pulag.
