As a well-curated art exhibition, participating artists are expected to shine at their exceptional best.
ManilART, the country’s longest-running national art fair is now on its 11th year of promoting artistic excellence in the arts. It continues in its advocacy of supporting Filipino artists and collectors by providing them the much-needed exposure to be able to showcase their works to art aficionados and let their talent and artistry excel here and abroad.
For the past 11 years, ManilART has been at the forefront of showcasing the genius and virtuosity of Filipino artists and what Philippine art and artistry is all about. As a well-curated art exhibition, participating artists are expected to shine at their exceptional best. ManilART ‘19 carries the theme “Showcasing the Global Filipino Artist.” Expected to participate are 36 selected bonafide galleries in the country. By opening up to an international audience, ManilART ‘19 is looking to attract worldwide attention and awareness regarding the level of talent and remarkable creativity of Filipino artists.
ManilART always strives to break challenges related to geographical boundaries, knowing that art, regardless of race, ethnicity, religion or culture, should not be boxed or encapsulated but be showcased and appreciated by a wider audience scope to reflect the heritage of a country.
ManilART ‘19 is slated on October 9-13, 2019 at the SMX Convention Center Taguig, SM Aura Premier, 26th St., corner McKinley Parkway BGC, Taguig. A gala night to honor guests, patrons, and participating artists will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2019, at 6 p.m.
In October last year, ManilART ‘18 focused on its theme “Ang ARTe ng Pilipinas” (The Philippines is Proud) to illustrate Pinoy artists’ inclination to be creative and expressive, with their works focused on the stories of a community, including artworks that dare to defy borders and restrictions.
ManilART ‘19 will feature living masters of Philippine art together with up-and-coming artists. It is open to art enthusiasts, collectors, students, practitioners, and educators and is co-presented together with the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA, Bonafide Art Galleries Organization Inc. (BAGO), and ManilART Foundation, and supported by the City of Taguig, SMX Convention Center, SM Aura Premier, SM Malls, Ladder Events Production, Don Papa Rum, Giffard, Savoroso, Via Mare, Museo Orlina, Shambala Living Museum.
